    I bought one of these last week from Game after seeing the link on here.

    It is DoA. Controller won't connect to it unless it is in safe mode, even via cable = dead WiFi board.

    They don't let you take it back into a shop to swap it. It has to be returned in the mail.

    I'm done with Game after the pratting about they've put me through. Avoid like the plague. (edited)

    Not necessarily. If the controller was used with another console prior to that one it'll need resetting. Mate at work bought one, same thing. Told him to put a pin in the little hole on the back of the controller whilst plugged into the console, which he did and it worked and connected afterwards. Not saying yours wasn't knackered, but a reset of the controller would be my first go to.

    If the firmware is 11 or below, then you can jailbreak it to play and mod all *ps4 games*.

    Dad of 2 here, one aged 4 and other less 2 months old. Is this the perfect console for me? With Mrs always on my case to empty the bins and do chores, is this the no brainer purchase? I'm a typical man, nobody gives a toss about my mental health. The only solace I get is going to the sh*tter and 2mins in I'm being screamed at to hurry up.

    I don't have kids for this very reason, mental health...try this, leaving the wife, book a holiday in Bangkok for 3 months and enjoy all the attention you miss.

    11 year old console, should expect to see it at around this price now used. That doesn't mean it's not a good price but it is expected.

    A good price, but remember they are old and probably clogged up with dust inside. I've seen other posts where some have been dead on arrival. Other people have had odd matching controllers. Buy at your own risk I guess. (edited)

    There is no risk as there’s a 12 month guarantee. The controller situation is not really an issue, these come with an official DualShock 4 controller, so if you get a coloured variant then that’s even better in my opinion.

    Love my ps4 and probably still play it more than my ps5 but those load times are infuriating . How can a game like dave the diver have multiple 30/40 seconds long loading ........ enough to drive you crazy lol

    You can play PS4 games on your PS5 with reduced load times. Some games even have free PS5 upgrades like Fallout 4, The Witcher and The Last of Us part 2.

    I think Sky charge for new/returning customers as a multi room sub now if you a console. Free sky go is only for phones and tabs not consoles or laptops.

    Comes wiped with latest firmware. Mine arrived with dark blue controller and dodgy usb lead that didn't work, the hard drive cover doesn't have Sony written on it ? Cleaned up well looks cared for.Runs really quiet ! and ports all working. (edited)
